Mikey and I first crossed paths in August 2016 at a lounge party in Fullerton, CA. It was a completely random meeting, yet something about that moment felt destined. I was standing outside with my friends when Mikey approached me with his charming smile, and we struck up a conversation. That night, we exchanged numbers, and from that point on, we became inseparable.

Mikey grew up in Bellflower, and I’m from Eastvale, so our paths weren’t always aligned. But somehow, life brought us together, and we spent the next nine years getting to know each other on dates, sharing countless memories, and deepening our bond. In 2017, I met his family, and I knew right away that Mikey and I were building something special. The first thing I noticed about him was his confidence. Whether we were out on the town or just enjoying a quiet evening, Mikey always seemed to capture the attention of the room with his charisma.

As time went on, we took the next big step in our relationship and moved into our first apartment together in 2020. It felt like the perfect place to begin this new chapter of our lives. Then, on my favorite holiday—Valentine's Day—Mikey surprised me with the most unforgettable proposal. He decorated our room with balloons and presented me with my engagement ring, a moment I will forever treasure.

A fun little side note: before we moved in together, it would always take me over an hour to get ready. Mikey, in his playful way, started calling me "Barbie," and that nickname stuck. Now, it's what most of his family calls me, and it always brings a smile to my face.

As two fire signs—Mikey, a Sagittarius born in December, and me, a Leo born in August—our connection has been full of passion, adventure, and energy. Mikey grew up in Bellflower, and I’m from Eastvale, where we each developed our love for different hobbies. Today, we enjoy hiking together, going to the beach, and taking our camper out to spend time with family. I love to dance, while Mikey enjoys swimming. Mikey also loves to ride his motorcycle, and I enjoy cheering him on. My favorite sport is basketball, and Mikey loves football, basketball, and baseball. We've had so much fun supporting each other’s passions while growing our own.

We’ve faced a lot together over the past nine years, and through every challenge, we’ve only grown stronger. Our love has evolved in the most beautiful ways, and I truly believe we're meant to be. When I think about our future, I see us having the most incredible wedding, buying our dream home, and starting a family together. The thought of all our dreams coming true fills my heart with so much happiness because I know Mikey is my soulmate.

I am beyond excited for all the adventures still to come with him by my side, and I’m incredibly grateful to have our families and friends come together on our big day to celebrate the love and journey we’ve shared.
